The two hottest photo sharing and designing apps available today, Instagram and Pinterest, were mashed together by a Wilmette web designer to create Pinstagram. Pek Pongpaet, a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago now lives in Silicon Valley and, after creating the mashup over one weekend in May, gained wide recognition after the service went viral.
