Wheaton College’s Mars Center for Science and Tech Awarded LEED Gold

Wheaton College’s Mars Center for Science and Technology was recently awarded LEED Gold Certification based on its renewable technologies and green design that make it an incredibly environmentally friendly building. The building has a 1,300 sq ft green roof, solar shading on glass to reduce temperature changes, and automatic lighting to reduce energy consumption. Continue reading here.

Wheaton’s Studio Movie Grill Worth Visiting

Wheaton College Opens Observatory for Rare Astronomical Event

Original (6/5/12): The transit of Venus across the serface of the sun will occur about 5:03pm today and will not occur again from our vantage point again until 2117. Of course viewers will see only a small dot crossing the sun, but it is literally a once in a lifetime opportunity. To that end, Wheaton College has opened its observatory for free viewings of the event. Continue reading here.
