Evanston Police Test License Plate ID Technology

Evanston police are testing the ability to identify cars with outstanding tickets by capturing images of vehicle license plants and running them against ticket databases. The new system would also monitor 2-hour parking and overtime zones. Feelings are mixed on the system’s implementation.  Continue reading here.
