Navistar Cuts 700 Jobs in Lisle

Following the company’s announcement that their 3rd Quarter 2012 earnings are astonishingly low compared to their 3rd Quarter 2011 earnings, the company is doing some restricting. Their income dropped 94% since last year. Continue reading here.

Technical School Proposed for Warrenville Road Corridor

Original Post (4/4/12): iStar Financial Inc. wants to demolish and redevelop an area along the Warrenville Road corridor for a state-of-the-art technical school. Update (8/31/12): Universal Technical Institute is closing its Glendale Heights facility and moving to Lisle. The automotive technical school is building a new, 180,000 sq ft building and will provide hands-on automotive industry educational skills for students. Continue reading here.

Navistar CEO Retires Suddenly

Navastar CEO of 37-years Dan Ustain notified the board he will be ending his career at Navistar effective immediately and gave no reason for the sudden retirement. He will be replaced by an former Textron Inc. CEO. Continue reading here.
