Naperville to Offer Charging Stations for Electric Cars

Original (6/25/12): Electric vehicle owners will soon gain the ability to charge their electric cars in downtown Naperville. As part of the city’s Smart Grid Initiative, Naperville officials recently approved placing a charging station on the corner of Van Buren and Main St. downtown. Update (6/26/12): Naperville just announced an electric vehicle charging station raffle that is open to electric utility customers who own an electric vehicle. The purpose of the raffle is to show the feasibility of incorporating electric vehicles into the Naperville Smart Grid and to better understand the impacts of electric vehicles on the power grid.
