Kane County Recycles 43% of Its Trash

Due in part to Illinois’ electronics landfill ban that started January 1st, Kane County has been approaching a major green milestone. Nearly 43% of all waste the county produced in 2011 was either recycled, mulched, or composted. Now that electronics waste must by law be recycled, the county is expecting an even higher percentage.
