Fermilab’s Mysterious “Bump” Raises Questions

As it was racing CERN to find the Higgs-Boson, Fermilab’s CDF  detector saw a weak spike in its data during one of its experiments last April. Though the Higgs-Boson was ruled out as a possible cause for the spike, scientists are still unsure on what could have. Could it be a new particle? Many scientists have called it a systematic error, but others at Fermilab are calling a more in-depth analysis of what it may be. Continue reading here.
